A new display - Crossing the Waihou - from waka tiwai, ferries and controversy to two bridges - opens at Thames Museum at 11am on Saturday 1st August. Craftsman-model-maker Ted Egan will be present throughout the morning. The central exhibit is a fully functioning model of Historic Kōpū Bridge's swing span that Ted made during Lockdown. Documents and illustrations of the iconic bridge's construction in the 1920s complete the display. It will run through August and September. Story-teller Miss Rosalie will be present at the opening event.
