1 July to 30 September

From entertainment, cafes and historical exploration there is lots to do in Thames during Winter!

Just because it is Winter, it doesn't mean you can't swim.  The Thames Centennial Pool dome is up during the Winter months, and has a wood-fire heater to keep it at the perfect temperature for a swim any time of the year.

If you want to catch a movie the local cinema is open 7 days and always screening the latest movies.  Located in a historic theatre it is an enjoyable way to escape from the colder days and nights.

Art & Cafes

Enjoy the year-round exhibitions which can be found in the local Thames cafes.  View the Barry Brickell terracotta depiction of Thames and the 'A History of Thames' woven mural in the Civic Centre (by appointment) or visit Thames Society of Arts in the old North School building.

Historical highlights are open all year round and include The Treasury, historic churches, Thames School of Mines, Goldmine Experience, Thames Museum and the Bella Street Pumphouse.

Note, some attractions have slightly shorter Winter hours so make sure you check before you visit.
