1 April to 30 June

The leaves are turning yellow, the days are starting to cool down and the nights are getting longer during the Autumn months but there is still so much to enjoy in Thames.    In addition to the historical sites, art galleries and museums it is still a very enjoyable time to be outdoors.

If you are visiting on the weekend the Saturday markets on in Grahamstown are always buzzing and a great way to start the day.  There are lots of boutique shops and great cafes in Grahamstown worth checking out including Cafe MelbourneSola CafeGrahamstown Bar & Diner and Chequers Cafe.

Kids can enjoy being outside and riding on the Small Gauge Railway or playing at the Porritt Park Playground.

It is a beautiful time of year to take in the spectacular panoramic views of the town from the Thames Monument or to grab some fish and chips from Waiomu Cafe and sit on the local beach and watch a stunning New Zealand sunset.
