The Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp is surrounded by hill-country farms and within easy reach of the acclaimed Pinnacles tramp. It is built on 16 acres of terraced grassland overlooking the Kauaeranga River.
Situated at the gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula the Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp is only just a short drive from many places of interest including: Coromandel Township, Colville, Whitianga, Whangamata, Waihi, Tairua, Puanui, Ngatea, Hot Water Beach (Cooks Beach), Hahei and Miranda Hot Springs, to name a few. The local area is ideal for horse trekking, mountain biking, abseiling, tramping, kayaking, nature walks or just sitting back and enjoying the scenery while being looked after by our staff. For the keen fly fisherman we are ideally located along the popular and acclaimed Kauaeranga River, reputed to be in the top 15 fly fishing locations in NZ.
It is only 5 kms from the Thames township. The Pinnacles is a 30 minute drive from our camp to the trail base and the Kauaeranga Valley Visitors Centre ( DOC) is only a 10 minute drive up the valley.
