- Stop off at Waiomu for lunch, ice creams or a coffee and head down to the beach or domain to take in the sun

- Afternoon walk to Waiomu Kauri Grove.
- Walk amongst species of international butterflies in a steamy tropical setting –Butterfly House.

- Try locally made cheeses at Matatoki Cheese as the kids pet a variety of farm animals

- Small Gauge Railway rides for the children at Brown Street, Victoria Park
- Leisurely shop at Goldsfields Mall or a relaxing coffee as the kids burn off some energy at the Porrit Park playground and Skatepark
